Forum: Firefox 3 certificate error when accessing project web site
Posted by: Sebastien Varrette Content: If you are running Firefox 3 and try to access the web site of your project at the url https://<projectname>.gforge.uni.lu, you'll more than probably encounter the following error:--------------------8<----------------------- Secure Connection Failed projectname.gforge.uni.lu uses an invalid security certificate. The certificate is not valid for any server names. (Error code: ssl_error_bad_cert_domain) --------------------8<----------------------- This is the case for instance when you try to access the site helpdesk.gforge.uni.lu. This is a "normal" behaviour as the SSL certificate is for gforge.uni.lu and not for *.gforge.uni.lu... To get ride of this message: 1/ click on the link "Or you can add an exception..." at the bottom of this page 2/ select the button "Add Exception" 3/ click on "Get certificate" 4/ finally, select "confirm security exception" May be in the future we will desactivate SSL for projects web site. For now, please do as mentionned before. Sorry for the convenience | Latest News
