Dear GForge users,

On November 11th 2015, from 9:00 to 18:00, the [GForge](https://gforge.uni.lu) project management and collaboration server underwent several major upgrades.

We have upgraded the base system to Debian 8 (Jessie), and FusionForge from the version 5 to 6.

The FusionForge upgrade brings several improvements:
* immediate system actions (no more delays on the creation of new projects and repositories, update of SSH keys, etc);
* ability to browse both GIT and SVN repositories online;
* the web interface benefits from a new and clean style;
* many security issues and bugs reported for the previous version have been fixed.

We have strived to make this upgrade as seamless as possible and all the existing data (projects and associated repositories, web sites, user permissions) have been imported in FusionForge 6.
If you encounter any behaviour that differs from what you would have expected before the upgrade, kindly don't hesitate to mail us (admin@gforge.uni.lu) as the new behaviour may be a bug.
Also, please note that we will update the "helpdesk" documentation [site](https://helpdesk.gforge.uni.lu) soon.

We apologize for the inconvenience created by this lengthy maintenance,

Best regards,
The Gforge team
